May Writing Update

Hi everyone!
What can I say?
My progress this month was abysmal. The novel I’ve been working on, Sword - my post apocalyptic katana wielding adventure story did not progress at all, not one bit!
It’s currently still sitting at 43%… I’m still loving the story but I have barely written anything on it for the last two months! So my plans are completely out of the window. I’ve actually written more words doing these blog posts than I have my own books, go figure eh?
So, this month I have decided to just take a breather, re-focus and try and get some idea of what I plan to do going forward. I still plan on finishing Sword and hopefully releasing it this year. I've had this story planned since 2017, 2018 and I want to get it down and out to the world purely so it’s no longer sitting around in my head and I can focus on other things.
On to other things, after finishing Sword I will definitely be starting book 3 of the brightstone saga, I need to do that for myself. I need to get into book 3 as I’ve said before, it's a massive undertaking. With ninety odd chapters planned and outlined, I’ve got my work cut out for me attempting to get through it. I’ve said it before, I’m not sure if I’ll need to split this book in two, make massive revisions to the outline or add a chunk to book four (which isn’t outlined yet, so this could work out better in the long run). It’s all up in the air at the moment.
So that’s my (sort of) plan, a slight shift on the when but still a plan for what I want to do. I want to tell the stories that are in my head, but I know I need to make the time to actually write.
Anyway, that’s it for now. Keep an eye out for more updates coming soon on Sword and when I finally start Book 3.
As always, my links are here:
Happy reading and if you like my books I would appreciate it massively if you would leave a review. It really does help me get seen out in the bottomless pit of the publishing world.
Thanks again,
Lee
